Precedent / Voyager™ II Rooftop Operation 

Classroom - Technical Service Training - This two day course is designed to provide comprehensive coverage of the Trane Precedent and Voyager® rooftops with ReliaTel controls. The course focuses specifically on these Trane products. Upon course completion, students will have been exposed in detail to the mechanical, electrical and control systems of these units and will have become knowledgeable in the start-up and maintenance requirements of these products.  Exposure in detail to the mechanical, electrical and control systems of these units & become knowledgeable in start-up, maintenance, and troubleshooting requirements.


Topics Addressed: 

This is a product introductory seminar with emphasis on installation, component overview and operation, diagnosis and troubleshooting for the 3-25 ton Precedent and Voyager II Rooftop Units using the ReliaTel™ control system.  The class includes coverage for all HVAC operations as well as Demand Control Ventilation (DCV), Direct Drive Plenum (DDP) fans, Single Zone VAV, hot gas reheat, eFlex Compressors, etc.


Specific Course Objectives:

• Familiarize on usage of Precedent and Voyager ReliaTel™ microelectronic hardware.

• Learn application and operation of rooftop electronic controls.

• Know the diagnostic, checkout, testing and troubleshooting procedures for these controls.

• Become familiar with combustion cycle and operation and troubleshooting of heating components.

• Learn system maintenance requirements.

• Review Trane wiring diagram conventions.
